What was preserved
The downloaded archive contained the domain shell, two surviving category routes and a 2013 PDF letter. Most original article bodies and image assets were missing or had been replaced by parked-domain placeholders.
How this rebuild handles missing content
Missing historical article text is not reconstructed as if it were original reporting. Existing routes are preserved, while new pages use clearly dated, current public BART sources and evergreen explainers.
